FAQ
1) What are the wedding colours?
2) Can I bring my children?
We decided that this event will be for adults only, with the exception of Xiaopu's Maid of Honour (Alice), Alice's guest and our pianist.
3) Am I allowed to bring a guest?
Unfortunately, due to the limited capacity of our banquet hall and our big invitation list we do not have enough room for extra guests. The protocol we followed was that if you are in a relationship, you and your guest are invited. If you are single and you don't know many people coming to the wedding, you are invited to bring a guest. If you are single and you're very familiar with the people at the wedding, you are invited as an individual. If for some reason we have made a mistake and you are actually seeing someone very special to you, please don't hestitate to contact us.
4) If I was invited to bring a guest, can I come alone instead?
Absolutely - just let us know so we can plan properly :) If you're wondering how to RSVP to explain that, simply remove your guest's name (or the word "Guest") from the RSVP form here on the website.
5) Is it a Host or Cash Bar?
The bar will be a Cash Bar operated by the hotel, but we will be serving red and white wine with dinner (a Shiraz and a Gewurtz-Traminer for those of you who are particulary curious).
6) The invitations say 5pm, what time should I arrive?
The ceremony will actually be starting at 5:30 sharp - the invitations say 5pm to give us enough buffer time (for slow-pokes and those people coming in from out of town).
7) What should I wear for the wedding?
Not sweat pants. :) Um... we're pretty easy going about your attire. Business casual for the men and a nice summer dress or cocktail dress for the ladies (or a suit if you'd like). Tuxes and gowns would be overkill...
