So this past Sunday, Donna was ever so helpful in coming to Waterloo to do a trial run of my hair and make-up. It was lots of fun and I'm really excited with what we came up with!!! :) Julia was over too as the Sous-Hairdresser. Hehe. I'm very impressed with Donna's hair design talent! We were talking about the possibility of having a flower or some small flowers mixed in with the curls. What do you think?

P.S. Thank you to everyone who came to see us this past Saturday at Andy's house. It was very good to see some of you again! ^_^

Since we are not having a cake at the wedding, we'll be having a chocolate fountain in its place! :)

Although, our replacement "cake" is served at a slightly different time...

Between the ceremony and the reception there will be approximiately an hour break for the banquet hall to be re-setup, at which point we'll have some live music provided by Ellen Gao (my sister's friend) on the piano and then Sheila Fung (Joseph's sister) on the guitar.

At the same time, we'll also serve fruits, marshmellows and cookies with the chocolate fountain running. FYI, the fountain will have dark chocolate. Milk chocolate won't agree with my stomach as well... :p

Mmm chocolatey goodness....

So today Julia and Derek graciously donated their time to help us make our wedding programs. They're looking pretty spiffy! :D I will eventually add red ribbon to the spine. Joseph is somewhat hesitant because they'll take A LOT of time...

This weekend I also finished making our card box. I'm really proud of my paint job at the bottom. I think it looks cute!

Oh, and we've added some new FAQs.

So today we're printing our programs and hopefully will get them all assembled. The programs are a two-tone piece featuring the same cherry blossoms as on our invitation - it was run to design, but our recent menu changes definitely through a wrench in the works :P

Also, invitations to the Jack and Jill were recently sent out (by Julia I think) - the Jack & Jill will be at Andy's on the 23rd of August but please be sure not to bring gifts. I know there's been some confusion about the differences between a "Stag & Doe" or a "Jack & Jill" - for this one it's intended to be a party, not a fundraiser. We just hope to get a bunch of friends together and to have a good time.

A few people have asked why there weren't any notes in the RSVP tool about dietary restrictions - the reason is that we're currently planning on doing a buffet. The buffet has stuff for those that are vegatarian, meat lovers or even lactose-intollerant.  That being said - due to space restrictions, we may be forced to reconsider that option - which means we *may* have to follow-up and ask those pesky diet-related questions. Fun, fun fun.

Either way, things are coming together nicely - this week we'll be putting together some of our printed material like our programs, place cards, etc - it's amazing how much there still is to do.
